This is how our patented process works
1. Ambient air's CO2 is transformed into carbonate with the help of Carbonic Anhydrase
2. This carbonate is transformed back to CO2 with the help of a Photoacid
3. This pure CO2 is collected and stored, and can be reused or buried
About Us
Greennova DAC is a company owned by Greennova Foundation
Greennova Foundation is a non-profit organization. Its mission is the development and implementation of tools and solutions to mitigate and revert the negative consecuences that human activity generates to the Earth and its species.
Greennova has developed different projects focused on CO2 capture and pollution reduction. CAPTACO2 is the most successful one, now entering in its third stage under Greennova DAC umbrella, having evolved from its initial membrane technology concept.
The CAPTACO2 project is being developed in collaboration with Rovira i Virgili University, where the research is conducted. Greennova leverages the Industrial PhD model, enabling the PhD candidate to complete her thesis while actively contributing to the project.
